A home of the late great actress Greta Garbo is now up for sale in California.
Set atop a hill and offering generous outdoor space, the Swedish-American screen legend’s former Beverly Hills pad is currently asking for $12 million.
Sitting on a 15,080 square foot lot, the 4,675 square foot home boasts 180-degree panoramic views, with visibility from Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.
‘The view of the property is amazing and the location is ideal,’ Compass agent Mark Mintz, who owns the listing, told The Post of the ‘Grand Hotel’ star’s ex-home. . “Very private, secluded, in the hills, yet close to the Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills.”
Built in 1937 but fully refurbished in 2006, the resort has little to show in terms of original details, which have been replaced with contemporary clean lines, recessed lighting, “rich woods and thoughtful stones”, such as the describes the list.

In all, there are six bedrooms, six bathrooms, three fireplaces and a wine cellar spread over the two floors. Sliding walls of glass lead to multiple decks, which wrap around the building, and the rooftop also features an expansive outdoor area.
Outside, the grounds include a heated and filtered inground infinity pool as well as a hot tub, a sprinkler system, a barbecue and a two-door garage with a charging station for an electric vehicle.
The property was last sold in 2006 for $7.45 million, a huge increase from its previous sale price of $1.4 million in 2003.
The property is Garbo’s second former home to hit the market in as many months: In June, a one-story East 52nd Street co-op the actress once called home listed for $7.25 million. Unlike the California accommodation, this pad still has many of its retro features preserved, as well as a more sentimental reminder of the three-time Oscar nominee, died in 1990 at 84 years old.
“The passing boats reminded him of his beloved native Stockholm,” the listing notes.
