The bad takes from all political walks of life started rolling in Monday night shortly after Politico published a leaked version of the Supreme Court’s opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Healthwhich would reverse Roe vs. Wade and Family planning c. Casey.
Some liberals, such as the MSNBC host Joy Reidpresented the decision as a step towards a real life Gileadthe dystopian successor state of the United States in The Handmaid’s Tale which practices the torture and mass rape of women in order to perpetuate the population.
Meanwhile, many conservatives panicked over the leak itself. And while some have deployed hyperbolic language to describe the unprecedented nature of the leak, the award for Worst Take in Response to a Supreme Court Leak goes to Harmeet Dhillon.
Dhillon, a Republican National Committee member from California and a frequent Fox News guest, tweeted shortly after the news broke and called the leak “terrorism” that is “more destructive than any Suicide bomber”.
This act of disclosing an important opinion is terrorism against the Court and against our nation. It’s far more destructive than any suicide bomber would be.
These people behind this despicable act are attacking the very foundations of the United States. We must not let the terrorists win. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

More destructive than any suicide bomber would be. OK so.
Dillon is perhaps most notable for serving on that of Donald Trump legal team after the 2020 presidential election. Pushing false claims of voter fraud, she called the Supreme Court to “step in and do something” to keep Trump president.
