Moving to New York often means share a living space with strangers. They can become friends or lovers, our city guides, sometimes our rivals. Our housemates may come from very different backgrounds, or be at different stages of life, or work and socialize in worlds different from ours.
The New York Times Magazine is interested in speaking with people who moved to New York during the pandemic and found themselves in a unique roommate situation. You may be featured in an upcoming project celebrating the happy (and sometimes unhappy) magic of living together.
If you have a roommate story, we’d love to hear from you. We will not use your name or identifying information without your permission and we may contact you to find out more.
