Food companies like Starbucks, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola have said they will temporarily close their stores in Russia or stop distributing products to protest Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Stephen Colbert joked on Wednesday that Putin had succeeded in “uniting everyone free against” Russia.

“A Kremlin spokesman put it this threateningly: ‘The United States has declared economic war on Russia.’ Thanks for noticing that,” Colbert said. “We feel seen”
