It’s ready to move in – and ready for a nuclear attack.
A missile silo in Abilene, Kansas, used to store and launch ballistic missiles in the 1960s, is on sale for $380,000.
Built on 11 acres of land, the silo specifically housed the decommissioned Atlas F missile, which was deployed from 1961 to 1966. After retirement, the ballistic missiles were refurbished and used for over 30 years as space launchers.
The underground complex was designed to withstand a nuclear strike and has water, electricity and a sewage system, registration notes.
There is 6,900 square feet of living space and the upper two levels of the silo consist of 1,200 square feet of space.
The upper levels were used for the launch control center and crew living quarters. The main missile silo is located at a depth of 170 feet, the listing says.
The images show a nondescript entrance to the silo, with a complex underground structure.

The listing notes that the space has “lots of potential” and could be used as a home or “guest room… just a few ideas.”
“If you want something that offers security and uniqueness, this property is for you.”

Also on the property is a 4,000 square foot Quonset building with water, sewer and electricity, as well as a one room building for office or storage.
Originally listed at the height of the pandemic – in March 2020 for $420,000 – the price dropped $40,000 last month.
The property was featured on the ZillowGoneWild Instagram account, where some users noticed a similarity to the Soviet missile silo in the 1995 James Bond film, “GoldenEye.”
“Almost 7,000 square feet and there’s only one bathroom?!” Another user questioned.
“The whole place is a top secret potato shed,” another joked.
