Hunter Biden

Mainstream media did not cover the president’s business dealings Joe bidenthe son of, Hunter Biden, with almost the same indignation and the same fervor that he treated those of the former president Donald trump and his family.

Shortly before the 2020 elections, The New York Post reported on emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop – which is currently in the possession of the FBI – which show his business connections in Ukraine and China when his father was vice president. The mainstream media called it “disinformation”, especially of the Russian type. Burying this story was misinformation in itself.

In other words, the mainstream media interfered for Biden ahead of the 2020 election. While the bombshell surrounding Hunter Biden probably wouldn’t have tipped the race in Trump’s favor (the only issue that really mattered was the coronavirus and the Trump administration’s response to it), it’s not the media’s job to select which stories to cover based on their impact on an election, it’s to report what is newsworthy Nevertheless.

This biased mentality continued under Biden’s presidency. The White House was pressed by The New York Post most recently on Hunter Biden art sales, on an arrangement made by the administration to ensure that buyers of Hunter art would remain anonymous. This measure, put in place to allay concerns about influence peddling, apparently has flaws: Hunter mixed with participants at a recent opening, and his lawyers are said to have reviewed potential buyers.

Stories about Hunter Biden are rare in the mainstream media. They mainly come from points of sale such as the To post and the Washington Free Beacon: “Emails reveal Hunter Biden’s relationship with shadowy Chinese tycoon, “Hunter Biden asked for over $ 2million to unfreeze Libyan assets when dad was vice president, “Hunter Biden consulted over oil tanker linked to notorious Congolese warlord, emails say,” and “Law firm linked to Hunter Biden dodged lobbying disclosures for Burisma’s work. “

It is inexcusable that the mainstream press did not cover these stories, especially given the feverish coverage devoted to influence peddling and nepotism during the Trump administration.

Articles have been published with these titles: “How Trump merged his business empire with the presidency“(Politics), “Donald Trump’s power suite“(TIME), “The swamp that Trump built“(New York Times), “By the Numbers: How Trump’s Properties Profit From His Presidency“(Axios),”How Trump abandoned his promise to ‘drain the swamp’“(Washington post), “Luxury ballrooms, candles and cabins: During Trump’s tenure, millions of dollars from the government and the GOP poured into his properties“(Washington post), “Political spending at Trump properties exceeds $ 22 million“(CNN) and”Trump’s Washington winners“(new York).

To their credit, a few mainstream media publications have recently covered the Hunter Biden trade scandals, including Politics and Atlantic.

Other outlets have had more trouble with the story. The insider produced a room it’s been covered up to the point of absurdity: “The ethics of Hunter Biden should worry you – even if you hate Fox News,” the headline reads.

To be clear, concerns about Hunter Biden’s artistic dealings are neither unfounded nor trivial, White House press secretary says Jen psaki would you like to believe.

Walter shaub, the former director of the US Office of Government Ethics, this week defended what he called “legitimate questions”Regarding Hunter Biden’s art sales.

“After the past 4 years, these questions have never been more important. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but that stuff matters, ”Shaub posted in a Twitter thread.

“It doesn’t matter that Trump is worse,” he added. “What matters is that this sets the bar low when it comes to ethics.”

However, whether Trump is worse than Hunter Biden or vice versa doesn’t matter when it comes to media coverage. Rather, it is this influence peddling – whether it be Trump administration officials and allies staying at Trump’s properties while Trump was in power in order to gain the favor of the old administration, Where Hunter Biden takes advantage through Ukrainian and Chinese trade relations when his father was vice president or now through his art sales which have so far brought him at least $ 375,000 – is false.
