Editor-in-chief of Axios Marguerite Talev emphatically claimed on CNN Monday that critical race theory is simply not being taught to K-12 students nationwide, including in Virginia, where there will be a gubernatorial election in a little over a few weeks.

While Inside politics, there was a discussion about the Democratic candidate and the former governor of Virginia. Terry McAuliffe say in a debate with his republican opponent, Glenn youngkin, “I don’t think parents should tell schools what to teach. I’m really sick of everyone knocking over teachers.

Sound clips were shown about it and Youngkin told Fox News last week that “Terry McAuliffe wants to put government, bureaucrats, politicians between parents and their children,” adding that “Terry McAuliffe has sat down , shut up, I don’t care what you think. “

Inside politics host John King said: “Terry McAuliffe would like to clean up his words again, as he did on the call, but it’s tough in a state where a close election will be determined in the fast growing suburbs of Northern Virginia, where you have lots of parents and lots of debate over critical breed theory and what is taught in the schools, to have a candidate for governor saying I don’t want to listen to parents or myself – I would side with the teachers rather than the parents intervening.

Talev, who is also a CNN analyst, noted that McAuliffe’s debate remark was “clearly a misstep.”

“Let’s just say for the record, just in case anyone doesn’t know, they don’t teach critical race theory to kids in kindergarten through grade 12. This is a thing nowhere in the country. , including in Virginia, ”said Talev wrongly.

“Only for a Republican candidate,” King seemed to joke.

“This is the subject of heated debate, but it’s not really a thing,” Talev said absurdly of the explosive national issue which prompted public statements from unions and officials in addition to commentators, experts and, yes, angry private citizens.

Contrary to Talev’s assertion, critical race theory – which teaches that American institutions, as opposed to individuals, are systematically racist – is taught in whole or in part to kindergarten to grade 12 students in all the countries, including in Virginia.

K-12 schools have Critical Race Theory Reconditioned, or at least some of its elements, and called it by another name. But the two largest teachers’ unions adopted both the precepts of the theory and name. There are countless articles by left-wing writers defending the CRT specifically and by name as appropriate and present in schools, and promoting its teaching has become a common cause on MSNBC and CNN. It is at best chicane, and at worst deceitful, to claim that there is no critical race theory in public schools.

So: Critical Race Theory in Schools? Alright one thing. Media honesty about that? Now this is not often a thing.
