How to make a mushroom sauce

To make a mushroom sauce to serve four people, follow this easy recipe.

Preparation time will cost you 10 minutes, and you will need around 15 minutes to cook it.

This recipe is worth 215 calories a serving.

It is also gluten-free and vegetarian.

Step five

Once the five minutes is up, measure out 1 tbsp of the liquor from the porcini.

Pour it into the saucepan and discard the rest of the liquor.

Chop the porcini and add them to the pan.

Fold in the crème fraîche.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, and then season.

If you don’t have any creme fraiche, there’s plenty of alternative options, however.

Cream cheese is one option you can use instead.

Simply melt butter and add garlic, cooking over a medium heat for one minute.

Add the mushrooms and cook until the juices are running, then stir in cream cheese and warm over a low heat until it melts.

Or try using milk instead.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then saute mushrooms until tender.

Stir in flour, milk and soy sauce, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Whether you are a veggie or a meat-eater, a mushroom sauce is a versatile recipe that you should learn how to make.

For veggies, you could use it as a pasta sauce, or with a baked sweet potato.

Alternatively, you could pour it over some steamed veggies or potatoes.

You could cover your omelettes in the stuff, too.

For meat-lovers, mushroom sauce works well over steak, chops, roast chicken, turkey, beef, or pork.
