Disgust as gardai foil Supervalu robbery with goods destined for cocooners

Gardai foiled robbers who attempted to steal a trolley load of groceries from a Supervalu earlier this week.

Officers in Bray found a trolley load of goods on the DART which had been taken wrongly from a nearby Supervalu.

The suspects brought the full trolley on the public transport service before they were caught by Gardai.

The goods were to be transported to elderly cocooners and eventually made it after the slight detour.

“The suspects brought full trolley on DART to Bray.”

Locals were disgusted by the actions of the suspects but praised gardai for their work.

One said: “What is wrong with people have they nothing better to do.”

Another added: “They should be made to do work for the elderly.”

Gardai continue to patrol local areas for all crime as well as monitor that people are abiding by Government restrictions.
