The Recorder - Political party functions

Published: 3/17/2020 9:37:17 AM

Mr. Doerner complained of the Democratic Party and the use of super delegates, implying that the party was not acting in a democratic way (small “d”). No where in the constitution is there a mention of political parties. The parties are free to make their own rules, and they have. I don’t agree with them either, but if you want to change that, you have a simple choice: form a new party, or work your way up and become part of the establishment of an existing party. Then you can help to change the rules that govern that party.
