Live Nation calls for postponement of large concerts

Live Nation, one of the world's largest producers of live entertainment, recommended all large-scale music events stop through March amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Live Nation Entertainment, one of the world’s largest producers of live entertainment, recommends all large-scale music events be postponed through the end of March amid coronavirus concerns.

The announcement could affect hundreds of shows from dozens of top-tier performers such as Billie Eilish, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Cher, Kiss, Post Malone, Tool, Lynyrd SkynyrdRicky Martin and Enrique Iglesias, Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton.

The announcement included news of an eight-person global entertainment task force designed to “drive strategic support and unified direction ensuring precautionary efforts and ongoing protocol are in the best interest of artists, fans, staff, and the global community,” according to a statement obtained by USA TODAY on Thursday.

Along with Live Nation, the task force includes representatives from global facility management companies, touring agencies and talent firms such as ASM Global, AEG Presents and CAA.
