Coronavirus hits former Xavier player Justin Cage, family in Belgium

Former Xavier University men’s basketball playerJustin Cage is quarantined in his home in Mons, Belgium, with his wife, Rossana, and daughter, Neilia. All three are confirmed to have COVID-19, Justin told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

“We’re doing a lot better than what we were,” said Justin, who is in his 11th season playing for Belfius-Mons, a first division Belgian professional basketball team. “For me personally, I still get dizzy. But my wife, she’s a little bit behind me as far as recovering and things like that but we feel a lot better than where we were at.”

Justin, who was Mr. Basketball in Indiana coming out of high school in 2003 and played for the Musketeers from 2003-07, said on March 4 he went to a doctor to get a prescription for a back problem and was scheduled to receive a cortisone injection on March 9.
