Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose recall food containing metal


The FSA said: “Müller is recalling several products because they may contain small pieces of metal due to a production fault.” Müller is recalling the products and putting notices in stores to inform customers.

Lidl is recalling Kania Oregano due to the health risk posed by pyrrolizidine alkaloids. Pyrrolizidine alkaloids can cause liver disease if consumed over long periods of time.

Only products in England, Wales and Scotland are affected, not other products sold internationally.

Sainsbury’s is recalling its 10 Vegetable Gyoza with soy and ginger dip because some packs contain prawns not mentioned on the label, posing a health risk to allergy sufferers.

Sainsbury’s and Tesco and both also recalling various pestos.
