Susanna Reid: GMB host on working with co-star Piers Morgan ‘I’ve made a lot of mistakes’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Susanna Reid, 48, joined Good Morning Britain in 2014, following a 11-year stint as the co-presenter on BBC Breakfast.

The host was joined by Piers Morgan, 54, a year later, and Susanna’s presenting style certainly differs to her co-star.

Susanna said Piers is “very hard” whilst she said she finds it difficult to be “negative about people”.

Reflecting on her four years of working beside the controversial host, Susanna said she’s made a “lot of mistakes”.

Susanna said in her Daily Mail column: “Piers is very hard — whether it’s about [actor] Daniel Craig [wearing a baby-carrier], or Greggs selling vegan sausage rolls.

“I find it very hard to be negative about people, because I think to myself, in a lot of cases, there but for the grace of God go I.”

She continued: “I’m very flawed. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I’ve had a lot of failures and done things that I look back on all the time and cringe about.

“So I find it quite hard to say to others: ‘You shouldn’t have done that’.”

Her presenting style has certainly won over critics as she scooped a gong for Best Presenter and Best Celebrity Personality at Monday night’s National Reality TV Awards.

Good Morning Britain also won Best Talk Show, the only award which included Piers, who wasn’t nominated in the individual categories.

Susanna shared a photo of herself and her awards on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, which prompted a response from Piers.

The mother-of-three looked ecstatic to have won the gongs, as she beamed away int he photo.

She wrote on Instagram: “Thank you @nationalrealitytvawards #BestTalkShow #BestTVPresenter #CelebrityPersonality Dress @feeg_fiona_.”

On Twitter, Piers responded to her snap: “AGAIN?!!! That’s 3000 consecutive years! You’re the Ant & Dec of the Reality TV Awards. Congrats.”

But, the presenter was a little bitter on Good Morning Britain yesterday, as he asked who even picks the winners.

"It remains a mystery just exactly what these awards are,” he moaned.

“Or who organises them. Or what they are about. Or even how you vote!"

Piers added: "I am about winning, apparently we are the best talk show and I actually do a talk show and didn't even get nominated. This is not actually a talk show."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
