Coronation Street spoilers Sarah Platt’s to lose custody of son after horror accident? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Sarah (played by Tina O’Brien) has been enjoying some rest bite on Coronation Street of late, having struck up a romance with heartthrob Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and recently enjoying a break in Italy. However, upcoming scenes on the ITV soap sees the mother-of-two in a dire situation as her son Harry Platt (Freddie and Isaac Rhodes) finds himself in the middle of an altercation at the family household, leading to devastating consequences.

Harry is the son of Sarah and former Weatherfield bad boy, Callum Logan (Sean Ward), who was killed by his eldest son’s mother Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) shortly before her death in 2016.

With both of Max Turner’s (Harry McDermott) parents deceased, the youngster has been left in the care of his mother’s ex-husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and his girlfriend Shona Ramsay (Julia Goulding).

It’s the school boy’s wayward behaviour which begins the catalyst behind his half-brother’s accident during next week’s episodes.

As his step-father is currently in prison, the troublesome teenager has been wrecking havoc on the cobbles, leaving Shona at her wits end.

As well as not taking his ADHD medication, Max has also been keeping other secrets from his guardian which all come to light next week when a familiar face returns to Weatherfield.

Callum’s mother Marion Logan (Kerry Peers) pays a visit to Shona in upcoming scenes and tells the cafe worker her grandson has been in contact with her and is staying at her house whilst she explains the situation to her.

However, Marion’s visit comes following the stressed out guardian letting her hair down and celebrating her birthday with Sarah.

Seeing Shona intoxicated, Max’s grandmother claims she’s an unfit mother, which leaves David’s fiancée riled with rage.

Looking on in horror, Shona quickly rings for an ambulance as Sarah attends to her injured son.

It’s not yet been confirmed what will happen next, but as Harry’s mother has been out drinking, she soon find herself in serious trouble.

As the ambulance crew arrive, the paramedics could realise Sarah is intoxicated and as they try to piece together what happened to the youngster, they could question if it’s as a result of neglect.

Could the factory worker find herself locked in a custody battle as the authorities step in over the mysterious circumstances of Harry’s accident?

Having arrived on the scene in light of Max’s troublesome behaviour, could Marion be the one to take her other grandson Harry as she doesn’t trust his mother?

Sarah hasn’t had the best year, having split for former boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) earlier this year following some financial woes.

Since then, Sarah has plucked up a relationship with Adam, but has been left doubtful about how her ex has suddenly come into so much money.

Viewers know the former builder is the villain who brought down the Underworld factory roof, killed loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) and recently beat up Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).

If she finds herself in a custody battle for Harry, will Sarah be able to cope as the pressure of everything becomes too much, loosing her son for good?

Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
