Britains Got Talent 2019 start date for Champions series revealed after winner leaked | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions is about to bring some of the best-loved faces from the ITV show’s past back for a special series.

Past winners and beloved acts will go head-to-head once more to be crowned the champion of champions.

And now, it seems fans don’t have long to wait before the show airs on ITV as the launch date has since been revealed.

Insiders have reportedly confirmed the Simon Cowell-led series will debut on the last weekend of August.

A source told the Daily Star: “ITV have BGT: The Champions pencilled in to kick off on Saturday August 31.

“Last minute changes are always possible - especially with prerecorded shows like this one but everyone is working for that date.

“The final schedule will be locked in by programmers in a few days time.”

This means Britain’s Got Talent will return in just a couple of weeks.

It also should ensure it gets ahead of the game by avoiding the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative of Britain’s Got Talent for comment.

However, it seems the show has already suffered from a big spoiler leak, as the winner has already spilled out in to the ether.

Although every effort has been made to conceal the name, the winner did make their way on to the internet.

A source added to the Daily Star how bosses were “angry” to see their hard work had been compromised.

They said to the publication: “Producers of the show are raging.

“They worked so hard to make the show a success only for pictures to leak out of the act holding the trophy.

“It really is a disaster but it looks as though they have managed to contain the damage.

“It would ruin it for everyone if the winner was public knowledge before even the first semi-final has aired on TV.”

Although the line-up hasn’t let been confirmed, the likes of Paul Potts, Stavros Flatley and Ashleigh Butler are thought to be competing.

Other rumoured contestants are George Sampson, Jai McDowall, Collabro, Ben Hart, Twist and Pulse, Connie Talbot, Daliso Chaponda, Jack Carroll, Lost Voice Guy, Alex Magala, Bars and Melody, Merseygirls and Boogie Storm, as well as performers from Got Talent series from across the world like America's Vicki Barbolak and Paul Zerdin, Ukraine's Kseniya Simonova and Australia's Bonnie Anderson.

Susan Boyle is thought to be not taking part and Diversity are reportedly “too busy” to compete.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions will launch in August.
