Neighbours spoilers Paul Robinson rocked as killer son Robert Robinson returns to soap | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Paul (played by Stefan Dennis) washed his hands of son Robert (Adam Hunter) on Neighbours in 2007, after the menacing Ramsay Street resident tried to claim his father’s life on a number of occasions and caused a plane crash which killed several beloved characters in 2005.

Robert was one of the triplets Paul fathered to Gail Robinson (Fiona Corke), but the would be killer felt withdrawn from his brother and sister, Cameron Robinson (also Adam Hunter) and Elle Robinson (Pippa Black), sparking his vengeful demeanour.

Following 12 years behind bars, Robert is still causing trouble as recent scenes on the Channel 5 soap have seen his half-brother David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) contemplating visiting his sibling in jail.

Next week’s episodes will reveal David’s decision after Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson) and twin brother Leo Tanka (Tim Kano) foiled his plan to meet his villainous sibling in secret earlier this week.

Worried about his brother’s decision, Leo will confide in father Paul about David’s visit to Robert, who immediately darts off to the prison.

Just as David sits down to speak with the killer, Paul bursts into the room and is shocked to come face-to-face with his former assailant.

Robert is just as perplexed to see his father and rages in seeing Paul, showing David his true colours and subsequently relinquishing himself of his privilege to have visitors.

David will be left reeling in the aftermath of the violence he has witnessed, but Paul will be dealt another blow as he uncovers another secret from his killer son’s past.

Waiting to see her father who she has never met will be Erinsborough newcomer Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan) who will be left disappointed when she hears of Robert’s outrage.

Unaware he had a granddaughter, Paul will learn of how Robert and Harlow’s mother came to meet with David later inviting his niece back to Ramsay Street until they can see Robert again.

Paul isn’t as eager to let Harlow live in such close proximity as him, fearing what Robert has said of him in his letters from prison to his teenage daughter.

However, Harlow puts Paul’s qualms to bed and tells him despite what Robert has told her, she would still like to get to know him.

Harlow’s arrival will cause some upset for Roxy, the niece of Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) she she feels her auntie’s partner’s granddaughter will cause a distance between them.

Will Harlow’s presence on Ramsay Street lead to Roxy’s unexpected exit from the soap as she struggles to fit into the family picture?

Newcomer Jemma Donavan, 19, appeared on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this week to speak about her introduction onto the Channel 5 soap.

“It’s a great training ground and I have learnt so much already,” Jemma said, who is the daughter of Neighbours icon Jason Donavan who starred on the soap as Paul’s brother Scott Robinson.

Elsewhere on Ramsay Street, it seems Finn Kelly’s (Rob Mills) dark side could be resurfacing after his recent spell of redemption.

Finn has been getting closer to Bea Neilson (Bonnie Anderson) since he was acquitted of his past crimes towards her earlier this year having been diagnosed with retrograde amnesia.

Hinting at the darkness reappearing, actor Rob Mills, 37, told TV Tonight: “Finn as a good guy – I'm not allowed to say that I'm turning bad.

“But I might be turning bad,” the former villain explained.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
