Coronation Street spoilers Sinead Tinker Daniel Osborne split as Katie McGlynn exits soap? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Coronation Street favourite Sinead Tinker (played by Katie McGlynn) scared for her life.

The beloved character suffered from cervical cancer and after gruelling treatment, had to go back to the doctors to see if it had worked.

She went along to the surgery and while she waited with Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard), talk turned to morbid things.

Sinead insisted Daniel faced the fact she could get bad news and could die head on, something he didn’t want to do.

At the end of the first episode, Sinead went in to speak to the specialist, who told her good news as the second instalment started.

Thankfully, Sinead’s tumour had all but vanished and whole it wasn’t an all-clear, immediate threat was gone.

Daniel planted a kiss on his wife’s head but poor Sinead only looked more worried.

When she got home, she spilled all to her mother, Beth Tinker (Lisa George), who couldn’t be happier for her daughter.

However, Sinead broke down in tears as she realised she would forever have the lingering thought she could have deadly cancer again.

With the prognosis to return every couple of years for a screening, Sinead was worried she would live with fear for the rest of her life.

Later on, she explained her worries to Daniel, who seemed to be completely unaware of her woes.

He insisted he would always be there for her but she only cried more.

Will the couple drift apart as they struggle to come to terms with what’s going on?

Of course, this storyline is in the light of Katie McGlynn’s impending exit from Coronation Street

The star had never confirmed she would leave, but the soap has hinted it will come at the end of the current cancer storyline.

A spokesperson previously told Metro: “Katie is fully committed to playing out the extremely important storyline she is currently portraying on screen.

“The storyline still has a long way to go. Any speculation threatens to undermine the storyline for viewers.”

Following a spate of talent leaving Coronation Street, Katie was one of the names on the list.

Will she die after her cancer does make a harrowing return?

Coronation Street continues Friday on ITV at 7.30pm.
