Neighbours spoilers: Leo Tanaka eat revealed in Paul Robinson twist on Channel 5 soap? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Neighbours favourite Leo Tanaka (played by Tim Kano) will sadly be departing the Channel 5 soap soon.

However, his exit is currently a mystery so fans have flocked to Twitter to comment on how they think he will leave.

While the theories range from the plausible to the ludicrous, one fan could have come up with a very convincing storyline.

It’s all to do with his father, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), and his return to Erinsborough in 2005.

Of course, fans will recall when Leo and brother, David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), arrived on Neighbours, they didn’t know Paul would be their real father.

Paul’s re-entry on to the soap came in an extremely fashionable way, with him pulling up in Erinsborough in a red sports car.

After stepping out of the car, the suave bad boy whipped off his sunglasses and revealed his identity.

If fans cast their minds back to 2016, they will remember Leo pulled up on Ramsay Street in a very similar way, as pointed out by @NeighboursStan on Twitter.

He climbed out of his red sports car and in a spookily similar way, pulled off his sunglasses and announced his arrival.

At the time it was to foreshadow Leo being Paul’s son, but could it also be a hint about how the former will exit.

The last time Paul left Erinsborough, he was caught up in a fraud storm.

With Leo making a bit of a reputation for himself as a dodgy businessman, could he about to go the same way?

Tim announced the news earlier in the week with a statement on his management’s website.

They wrote: “This year sees Tim finish up at Ramsay Street and take on Hollywood.”

Fans were gutted when they heard the news and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the departing actor.

One said: “@Tim_Kano hi Tim saw that you will be leaving @neighbours ,I always liked Leo has a character in #Neighbours will miss him , (PS) all the best in the future in what ever you do.”(sic)

Another added: “One friendship I’ll definitely miss Leo and Ned even if we don’t see it often enough but i hope Leo still could come back at some point.”(sic)

A third shared: “I'm actually gutted to here that Leo (@Tim_Kano) is leaving #Neighbours. Wanted more Chloe/Ned/Roxy story lines.”

Meanwhile, Tim isn’t the only star leaving, as it was recently announced Jodi Anasta would be ‘having a rest’ from the soap.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
