Curtis Pritchard: Are Love Island's Curtis and Amy official? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart have quickly become favourites to win Love Island 2019 since coupling up on the very first day. Curtis entered as a late arrival with Tommy Fury and the chemistry between him and Amy was plain for all to see. With Amy and Curtis now taking their romance to the next level in the villa, Express.co.uk has exclusively spoken with relationship expert Johnny Cassell to see if the pair could go the distance on Love Island.

Will Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart win Love Island 2019?

Curtis and Amy have emerged as early frontrunners to win Love Island 2019 with the bookmakers.

Love Island’s first ‘semi’ official couple are currently 11/10 to win the series with Coral – as of Friday, June 14.

The pair decided to take their relationship to the next step after a week in the villa becoming ‘semi’ official as boyfriend and girlfriend.

While the decision may have seemed rushed to some Love Island fans, dating expert Johnny Cassell thinks the pair could have what it takes to go the distance.

Cassell told Express.co.uk: “Like any relationship that is formulated in the bubble of this broadcasted experience where there is a monetary goal, to be seen as a loved up couple at the end, you do have to question what is real and what is not.

“Amy’s lack of experience with relationships is starting to show throughout the series.

“We can see her experience a new level of emotions in episode nine as her emotions get further invested into Curtis.

“Curtis’ personality being as cool as a cucumber might just be what someone like Amy needs at this point in time.

“I believe Curtis is stable enough with himself to make Amy feel secure enough for them to both move forward with their relationship.”

Dating expert Cassell also weighed in about Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt’s romance.

Joe and Lucie also appeared to take their romance to the next step after a week or so in the villa.

Cassell said: “Joe was definitely laying on the ‘factor 50’ and has certainly shown insecurity throughout with Lucie getting the attention from the other guys.

“I think inside the villa Joe has had to remind himself for the context of the show that, as much as it hurts to see Lucie with another guy, it is all just a part of the show.

“Although he has battled with his feelings throughout, what we see is the move towards security for them both as they agree on becoming exclusive.

“In regards to how they would last outside of the villa, I believe Joe would have to get used to Lucie getting attention from guys as she is an attractive girl. However, I think in this context he would be able to deal with it.

“I don’t think Lucie is the type to pander to that sort of attention if she were in a serious relationship outside of the villa.

“They both seem like a great fit for each other and it would be great to learn that they have continued things with each other after the show!”

While Curtis’ dating history includes a famous face from Dancing with the Stars, Amy told ITV before heading into the villa she’d never had a serious boyfriend.

Amy said: “I’ve never been cheated on, I’ve never had a proper boyfriend!

“When I was seeing a guy though, he wasn’t being very nice to me, I went on a night out and met someone and had a cheeky snog,

“But I think if he was nicer to me then I wouldn’t have done it. I’m sure he was seeing a lot of other people!”

Fans will have to continue tuning into the ITV2 series to see if Curtis and Amy can last the duration.

Love Island 2019 continues on weeknights and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2.
