Coronation Street spoilers Nick Tilsley’s scam exposed in court amid Rana killer reveal? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Nick (played by Ben Price) is still hiding from his loved ones he was the one who scammed Coronation Street stalwart Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) last year as his finances hit an all time low.

Most recently, his secret has come under threat after the Underworld factory collapse with the police investigation looking into the company accounts where he hid the huge sum of money.

The conman has been pulled in for questioning by investigators and as he believes, he has managed to throw them off the scent, with his accomplice Natalie Watkins (Cassie bradley) sitting as more cause for concern.

With brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) also in on the secret, blackmailing his brother into launching a barber shop with the remaining funds, it seems one of the trio will spill the beans as new pictures captured from filming of the ITV soap seemingly reveals Nick’s downfall.

The pictures show Nick and David dressed to the nines, with characters such as Shona Ramsay (Julia Goulding) and the Underworld bosses lawyer, Paula Martin (Stirling Gallagher) arriving outside the court house.

Could it be Audrey discovers her grandsons betrayal and call the police on him, hitting out over the conman making her believe her deceased lover Lewis Archer (Nigel Havers) was the culprit?

With David also appearing outside the courthouse, could this suggest Audrey will uncover the brother’s scheming and shop them both to the police, with the thought of jail time bridging a major feud for the duo?

Also pictured alongside Nick and David is Rana Habeeb’s (Bhavna Limbachia) brother Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) who has been forging a vendetta against the Underworld boss as he believes the conman may have had something to do with his sister’s death.

Rana lost her life when the roof of the factory collapsed last year, with viewers in the loop a new super villain is behind the carnage and it wasn’t just a tragic accident.

Imran’s presence could mean the police are pinning the roof collapse on Nick so could another piece of evidence come to light, putting him in the frame?

Will Nick have to work hard to prove his innocence, allowing his to wreck more havoc on the cobbles as the villain, or is he being set up by the real culprit?

It seems the court case may be the catalyst to begin Nick and David’s impending feud, which was teased by executive producer Iain MacLeod last year.

Speaking of the upcoming rivalry between the brothers, Iain told press including Express.co.uk: “The Lewis/Audrey story we’re running at New Year is the launchpad of a massive family saga for the Platts that will draw in and pit against each other all the members of the Platt family in counter argument and recrimination.

“Nick and David end up running a new business together on Victoria Street – a barber shop with a pun in the name. A secret emerges after the New Year, which proves so corrosive that they end up hating each other more than they ever have.

“We’re likening it to Cain and Abel – one of them isn’t going to kill the other, but they’ll come pretty close in how much they come to loathe each other. It starts in January and plays out over the next 12 months.”

Will the brothers battle it out in court to place the other behind bars for their part in betraying their family?

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, another feud began last night as Roy Cropper (David Neilson) brought Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) back to the cobbles from a rehab facility on Carla Connor’s (Alison King) request after she was hospitalised following her spiralling state of paranoia.

One person who was less than pleased to see his son was Coronation Street stalwart Ken Barlow (William Roache) who wanted his son as far away from Carla as possible to aid his recovery from alcoholism.

Ken flew off the handle with Roy, launching into a bitter tirade as Peter demanded to see Carla at the hospital.

Upcoming scenes will see Ken and Roy reach peace, however, viewers weren’t too happy with Ken’s rage towards Roy.

Coronation Street continues Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
