Emmerdale spoilers: Maya Stepney and Jacob Gallagher to MURDER Liv? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

The end to Maya Stepney’s (played by Louisa Clein) grooming of Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) is near, however, the climax episode could see the twosome result to murder to keep their illicit romance hidden.

For months, the teacher and her student have kept their forbidden relationship secret but Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) found them in bed together last week in Emmerdale.

Liv agreed not to rat them out if they paid her and last night’s episode of the ITV soap saw the pair scavenging to make up the cash.

Jacob even sold a ring from Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) to pay Liv but the money from the jewellery is unlikely to keep the schoolgirl quiet for long.

Often with blackmail stories, the blackmailer continues to demand more even after they have received what they initially wanted.

With that being said, viewers have predicted a bloody end to the blackmail plot, with some speculating one of the trio will end up dead.

Taking to Twitter to discuss the theory, one person said: “Is Maya gonna try kill Liv over this. Really hope they don't try this."

“Could Jacob get killed off with this storyline ending next week?” another soap watcher asked.

Meanwhile, a third suggested: “Someone murders Maya and it's a shock who the killer is."

Emmerdale bosses previously confirmed the pervert would finally be exposed for abusing Jacob later this month.

In a week of special episodes, known as the ‘Big Night Out’, Maya is sussed out when she and the schoolboy are spotted together by a female villager after party-goers evacuate a building when a fire alarm rings out.

According to Digital Spy, the scenes will be shown on the week of April 20, but the actual night out storyline will be divided into two parts.

On the week of May 4, the second half to the story will be revealed through a series of dramatic flashbacks.

David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) will be involved in the episodes, which producer Kate Brooks teased back in February.

"We've got some really brilliant stuff coming up in April, May time," she told The Irish Sun.

“A big night out, which we will tell in a very interesting, fresh way. That's really good.”

She continued: “It's a night out for some of our characters, and we'll find out a week later what's gone on in that night out in a series of flashbacks.

“Ostensibly it's, 'Hey, Emmerdale are out having fun in a club', but then it will be revealed that it will change some of our characters' lives for good.

"There's a lot of drama involved in that night, and because we're Emmerdale, we're telling it in a kind of different way."

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm and 8pm.
