Coronation Street spoilers: Nick Tilsley arrested for Rana’s death? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

Coronation Street has been full of drama recently and it all has to do with the recent factory roof collapse.

The police are still hard at work trying to figure out what happened and who’s to blame.

The roof collapse took Rana Habeed’s (played by Bhavna Limbachia) life, and it has left her family and bride-to-be, Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) devastated.

Tonight’s second episode of the ITV soap saw the police arrest Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo), yet he was eventually released after it was made clear that he hadn’t stolen health and safety inspector Wayne Hayes’ (Adam Barlow) report.

After being released, Imran went to the Rovers Return Inn, and he spoke to Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) where he discussed what happened and revealed to her that he thought the police would arrest Nick Tilsley (Ben Prince) or Carla Connor (Alison King).

“I am telling you, the look on Wayne’s face all but confirmed it. This was sabotage,” he told Tracy.

“OK, so you think Carla sabotaged her own factory, and then stole the report to… Well, to what? Stop people from seeing it? It’s not like it’s the only copy,” Tracy replied.

“That’s supposing it was Carla who stole the report,” he added.

“Well, who else could it be?” asked Tracy, and Imran said: “Someone who wanted to know whether it was worth taking a bunk before the police came knocking.”

This was when Tracey said Nick’s name in disbelief, and Imran said: “DS Beckett asked me about him and clammed up when I asked if he was implicated in the report. It all fits. He sabotages the roof for the insurance money. He sees Wayne in the cafe with the report.”

Tracy said: “Oh, and he was making it as if he wouldn’t be surprised if you’d knicked that file.”

She then asked what they should do next, and Imran replied: “I don’t think we have to do anything.

“The police already have all the evidence they need. Carla, Nick or both of them. Someone is going to pay for this.”

Nick’s certainly been implemented in the roof collapse, yet the police haven’t arrested him yet.

Perhaps, they’re just biding their time and they will eventually arrest the man as it’s revealed that he is to blame for the catastrophe.

Nick has turned to the dark side recently after having conned his own grandmother, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

With his brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) clued up about his brother’s dodgy dealings, the barbershop owner claimed his brother could have caused the carnage as an insurance scam to get Natalie (Cassie Bradley) off his case.

However, Nick pleaded his innocence and never paid Natalie the money, resulting in the schemer getting a job at the barbershop as an alternative, putting his secret at greater risk of being revealed.

It remains to be seen whether Nick is actually guilty of the crimes Imran has accused him of.

Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
