The Walking Dead season 9 spoilers Alpha and The Whisperers will bring more conflict | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

The Walking Dead survivors have only just defeated one big bad of Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and it seems there’s another one on the horizon.

The Whisperers will well and truly land in the second half of season nine.

Lead by ruthless Alpha (Samantha Morton), the evil group wear zombie skin costumes in order to disguise themselves from enemies (and walkers).

And according to one cast member of The Walking Dead, there will be some huge drama in the coming weeks.

Express.co.uk recently caught up with Magna star, Nadia Hilker, who teased what’s to come.

When asked what to expect in season nine, she said: “More conflict, more team work…

“And a lot of weird, scary stuff.”

Fans of the comic book will recall Magna is instrumental in the fight against The Whisperers.

But Nadia remained tight-lipped on whether of not the same plot will show in the AMC programme.

Nadia did go on to praise Samantha for her wonderful performance in the coming scenes.

She explained: “I can’t really say whether I’ve worked with her or not but I can say I was around her.

“I can say she is the sweetest, smartest, most interesting woman and I’m very grateful to be found her and hear her ideas of the world.

“It’s very interesting and will all that she’s just a genuinely nice, kind and good-hearted woman.

“I’m happy she’s with us and she’s around.”

This comes after news broke suggesting Michonne (Danai Gurira) won’t be in the show for much longer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Danai hasn’t signed up for the 10th season.

She is thought to be in “prolonged negations” with AMC.

However, it’s believed Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is “number one on the call sheet”.

But will he have Michonne by his side as he takes the fight to The Whisperers?

The Walking Dead returns tonight on AMC and the following night on FOX UK. Seasons 1-8 are available to stream on NOW TV.
