Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers Cersei Lannister killed Tommen Baratheon's cat | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Game of Thrones villain Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) has taken her fair share of victims on the HBO show.

The evil queen has been behind plenty of deaths but it seems even more happened because of her off-screen.

According to showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, there was one perhaps too brutal for TV.

King Tommen Baratheon (Dean-Charles Chapman) was the proud owner of an adorable cat, Ser Pounce.

But he hasn’t been seen on screens since season six leaving fans concerned for his welfare.

However, the show runners have since confirmed everyone’s worst fears: the cat is dead.

The pair told Entertainment Weekly: “Cersei hated the name ‘Ser Pounce’ so much she could not allow him to survive.

“So she came up with the most diabolical [execution].

“See Pounce’s death was so horrible we couldn’t even out it on air.”

This sadly means for cat fans, they will have to say goodbye to the adorable pet.

Cersei could get her just-desserts however, as she is odds-on for death.

The Game of Thrones villain is currently priced at 1/50 to be killed off in season eight, according to SkyBet.

But BetVictor have placed her at 1/33.

And it seems she definitely has made enough enemies on the show.

She thinks she has Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau) on her side but he has increasingly grown more and more sick of her.

Will he betray her in one of the cruellest twists possible?

Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) is currently the favourite to die, with odds of 1/7, according to SkyBet.

He is closely followed by Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) at 1/12 and Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) at 1/33.

But as Game of Thrones fans know all too well, in the end, all men must die.

Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
