ITV will be airing the new series of Endeavour from this evening (Sunday, February 10) at 9pm. Endeavour 2019 will consist of four, two-hour long episodes or films which will air weekly. Shaun Evans will be again playing a young version of the iconic Inspector Morse, who is becoming more world-weary as he faces new challenges in the face of the dissolution of the Oxford City Police. Here’s a look at who else will be joining Evans in the cast of Endeavour 2019.

Who is in the cast of Endeavour 2019?

DS Endeavour Morse - Shaun Evans

Shaun Evans again puts on the mantle of a young Endeavour Morse as he gets to grips with his new role at an isolated countryside outpost.

Evans has previously starred in the likes of The Scandalous Lady W opposite Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer, Whitechapel, legal drama Silk and series The Take.

DCI Fred Thursday - Roger Allam

Roger Allam is back as Endeavour’s right-hand man DCI Fred Thursday, who will be torn asunder from his partner.

Allam is a veteran star with credits in film V for Vendetta, BBC drama The Missing, The Thick of It and Parade’s End.

CS Reginald Bright - Anton Lesser

Anton Lesser returns as CS Reginald Bright, who will be a shadow of his former self in the new series after he’s sidelined and marginalised.

Lesser is no stranger to screens having had roles in Game of Thrones as the evil Maester Qyburn, Wolf Hall and Netflix hit The Crown as Prime Minister Harold MacMillan.

DS Jim Strange - Sean Rigby

Veteran star Sean Rigby is going to be back as DS Jim Strange, who has been relegated to the traffic department.

Rigby is best known for his role in Endeavour but he’s also starred in Kit Harington’s Guy Fawkes BBC seres Gunpowder.

Dr Max DeBryn - James Bradshaw

James Bradshaw is going to be again taking on the role of Dr Max DeBryn, who has become the conscience of the group despite their separation.

Bradshaw’s big credits apart from Endeavour include Hollyoaks, Primeval and The Grimleys.

Dorothea Frazil - Abigail Thaw

Abigail Thaw will be once more portraying Dorothea Frazil, who remains the beating heart of the Oxford Mail and will be a staunch supporter of Endeavour in this time of need.

Thaw has featured in a 1998 version of Vanity Fair, I Want My Wife Back and Casualty.

Win Thursday - Caroline O’ Neill

Caroline O’ Neill is going to be back as Fred’s loyal wife Win Thursday but this year things could be hard between the two as she’s pushed to her limit.

O’ Neill has had roles in Doctors, Casualty, Holby City and The Bill, among other things.

Joan Thursday - Sara Vickers

Sara Vickers will be returning as Joan Thursday, who has settled back in Oxford and is training to work in social services.

Vickers has starred in one series of BBC crime drama Shetland and mini-series Private.

She is next set to be appearing in the highly-anticipated HBO series Watchmen which will be airing later this year.

Other cast members set to be back for the new series are Simon Harrison as DCI Box, Richard Riddell as DS Alan Jago and Alison Newman as Viv Wall.

There will also be guest appearances from Sophie Winkleman of Two and a Half Men fame, Blake Ritson, Matthew Cottle, Oliver Chris, Sargon Yelda, Alice Orr-Ewing and Ross Boatman.

Endeavour 2019 airs on ITV tonight at 9pm
