You on Netflix cast: Who plays therapist Dr Nicky in You? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

Fans are still reeling from twisted psychological thriller You since it dropped on Netflix last month. Just when viewers thought they had grasped what was going on, another twist would be thrown into the mix. One big twist involved Beck’s (played by Elizabeth Lail) therapist, Dr Nicky (John Stamos).

Who is therapist Dr Nicky in You?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for You season 1

Dr Nicky is Beck’s therapist in You on Netflix and is brought into the story towards the end of the first season.

When Beck starts attending sessions with him, Joe (Penn Badgley) is suspicious that she may be having an affair with him.

So Joe decides to attend sessions with Dr Nicky, under a fake name to spy on them both.

HOW DID CANDACE REALLY DIE IN THE BOOK?

After almost committing to killing the doctor, Joe concluded that they weren’t having an affair and continued to attend sessions pretending to be Paul, and using the fake name Ronaldo when talking about Beck.

Throughout the series, Beck gets texts from a contact in her phone listed as a fox emoji.

Beck dismisses Joe when he questions it and says it is her friend Emma Fox from college.

However, the issue arises again when Joe and Beck get back together at the end of the season.

Joe stalks Dr Nicky, steals his phone and his worst fears are confirmed.

Beck and Dr Nicky had been having an affair the whole time and his phone proves everything.

In the end, when Joe apparently kills Beck, he frames Dr Nicky for her murder.

The therapist could well be a key player in season two if he attempts to prove his innocence.

WILL JOE GET CAUGHT IN SEASON 2?
