star Wes will perform for the first time tonight with professional skater Vanessa Bauer.

Ahead of their routine, the star has opened up on how girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson feels about his involvement.

“She just said that she trusts me 100 per cent,” he explained.

“I mean it’s on television for god’s sake! I’m not going to do anything and I trust her 100 per cent.

“We’ve got something special and I don’t want to ruin it and I’m sure the person I’m dancing with will respect that as well.”

Wes went on to add Megan, 24, will be his biggest supporter.

“My biggest supporters will probably be Megan and my family! Meg is super supportive,” he shared.

“She’s going to be there for me, I know that for a fact.

“My family are super supportive as well, they were on Love Island so they will be on this.

“Obviously, the fans that have watched the show.”

He added: “There is 1.6million people that seem to be interested in what I do so hopefully they want to follow my journey and hopefully I’ll get some new follows and new fans.”

Wes also noted he is very keen to embrace the sparkles and sequins ahead of his debut.

“Sparkles and sequins...I’m all over it!” the 20-year-old said.

“If you saw me in the villa I was in sparkles and sequins nearly every day anyway.

“I love all that kind of stuff, that’s part and parcel of the show.

“If I’ve got to be head-to-toe in pink sequins then god damn it I’ll be head-to-toe in pink sequins. There are no limits!”

James Jordan is currently the favourite to win this year’s series but Wes follows close behind.

OddsMonkey revealed his odds have been cut to 12/5.

A spokesperson commenting: “James was outstanding in the opening week and a lot of money has come for him, but we have only seen the first batch of skaters and things will become a lot clearer this weekend including previous favourite Wes – whose debut will be one to watch for sure.”

Dancing On Ice airs tonight on ITV at 6pm.
