The 29-year-old baker took aim at Rahul Mandal, 30, in a lighthearted quip about his talkative nature.

The Great British Bake Off runner-up shared a sweet snap of herself with three fellow contestants, Briony Williams, 33, Antony Amourdoux, 30, and Imelda Mccarran, 33, with her 69,000 Instagram followers yesterday as she revealed the news they will all be on Extra Slice tonight.

“Us plus another eight and a few other normal guests (who even is @noel_fielding and @tomindeed anyway?) are on the final Extra Slice episode tomorrow 8pm on @channel4,” she captioned the upload.

“It features a lot of cake, a lot of laughs and a lot of talking (mostly from Rahul),” she joked.

Rahul was crowned champion of this year’s GBBO on Tuesday night, beating Ruby and fellow finalist Kim-Joy, 27, to scoop the Bake Off cakestand trophy.

The cast of the Great British Bake Off 2018 took to the comments section to remark on Ruby’s post, with Luke Thompson, 30, teasing: “A lot of talking from Rahul? I don’t believe you.”

“Haha!! My face! Love this pic!” Briony added. “And I love you Mrs.”

After hearing the news of his win, quiet Rahul made a joke about his chattiness, saying: “I talk so much most of the time and I just don’t know what to say now.”

Looking overwhelmed, he later added: “I still can’t believe it. My hand is shaking.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry. I just feel like I have to talk to my mum.”

The winner was seen phoning his mother in India, who sounded equally as delighted to her about his victory.

Ruby went on to congratulate Rahul in an emotional Instagram post, calling it a “very well-deserved win”.

“King from week two,” she said, as she revealed she was “bursting with happiness and pride” for making it to the final.

“I feel so blessed to have been lucky enough to be a part of the 2018 GBBO fam and are the highs and lows with now some of my best friends,”(sic) she gushed.

Tonight, Rahul, Ruby and the rest of the contestants will descend upon Extra Slice for the final instalment of the Channel 4 spin-off, hosted by Jo Brand, 61.

Ruby also shared a funny picture of the group trying to take a selfie on Extra Slice.

“The range of emotions in this pic is hilarious,” she said, labelling her pals with comments like “lost”, “help”, and “sorry what?”.

Eliminated baker Dan Beasley-Harling, 36, reminded Bake Off fans to tune in, sharing a snap of the cast all together on set.

“Don’t forget to tune in to the final Extra Slice tonight at 8pm, where we celebrate our wonderful finalists and catch up with all the contestants,” he told his 10,000 followers.

Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice airs tonight at 8pm on Channel 4.
