It was during the second episode Tim told Gina: “You're going nowhere. Except to the kitchen to dish out my curry while I put this bag back in your room,” to try and put her mind at ease.

However, returning to the kitchen, Tim said: “Ooh I could eat a nun's bum through a convent gate,” which led to the viewer outburst.

Tim may need Gina’s support over the Christmas period as Sally is set to become embroiled in a dark festive storyline.

Sally’s lawyer Paula Martin (Sterling Gallacher) will give her hope she may be out of jail just in time to celebrate the festive period.

However, Sally Metcalfe actress Sally Dynevor recently told Inside Soap things won’t be getting better for the former Weatherfield mayor.

Sally said: “I don't think she's going to have a happy Christmas.”

“She thinks she'll be home, and it just breaks my heart to think that she might not be at home on Christmas Day. Prison food!"

The actress does have hopes if her character isn’t found guilty of the fraud case against her, Sally could return to the cobbles a different person.

“It would be nice to take her in a different direction – maybe because of what she's been through in prison, she'll come out more community-led.

However, Sally could be seeking revenge on Gina who confessed to Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) she was developing feelings for her sister's husband.

Will Sally be back behind bars before being given a chance of freedom?
