ITV Good Morning Britain Hurricane Florence reporter leaves viewers in turmoil | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Good Morning Britain sent one of its reporters straight on to the front line of Hurricane Florence.

The storm is destroying parts of the US East Coast, particularly in North and South Carolina.

It was left to Nick Dixon to head out to the destruction.

The journalist could be seen on ITV stood in the dark as the brutal storm battered around him.

He kept his raincoat on, but it was clear it was horrific conditions for him.

Today’s Good Morning Britain hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Ben Shephard explained how there are safety measures in place for the team should the hurricane become too much for Nick and the team.

But that didn’t stop ITV viewers from worrying as they flocked to Twitter to comment on what they were seeing.

One wrote: “@GMB Respect to Nick Dixon and all the reporters in America reporting on storm Florence.take care out there.”

Another added: “Why does Nick Dixon have to be there?  There will be more than enough coverage from the US itself without GMB sending someone into a dangerous situation.”

A third worried: “Why on Earth is Nick Dixon still in North Carolina? @GMB sort this stuff out - please get him and the team evacuated.”
