Ruby went up against Antony Amourdoux in the third episode of this year’s series of The Great British Bake Off, but tonight, the two paired up to watch the instalment.

The duo were also competing against eight other contestants in Bread Week.

Ahead of the programme airing, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to unveil her plans for the evening.

In one upload, which was shared with her 7,469 followers, the star could be seen filming her legs as she strolled down a street.

Teasing fans, she captioned the video: “Off to meet my date for tonight. Any guesses who?”

The baker later put fans out of their misery, as she revealed she had met up with her friend and GBBO co-star Antony.

Making the big unveil, the two posed for a Boomerang clip - which saw Ruby pretending to plant a smooch on her pal’s cheek.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old banker grinned as he pointed at the fellow baker.

Antony, who reposted the video in view of his own 1,798 followers, also posted a capture of their evening together on social media.

In the selfie, the pair could be seen beaming as they sat at a table together.

“Watching this episode with my lovely @rubybhogal,” the London-based star penned.

He went on to add the hashtags: “#gbbo #gbbo2018 #bollywoodbaker #breadweek.”

Antony also posted a snap of the bakers on Twitter, which showed the pair smiling and pointing at one another.

Explaining what he was up to, the star wrote: “Watching episode 3 of #GBBO with @iam_rubes & friends! #GBBO2018 #bollywoodbaker #Breadweek.”

In tonight’s episode, Antony was eliminated from the competition, after his bakes failed to make the cut for judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

Recently, Great British Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig - who stars opposite Noel Fielding in the hit series - spoke out about a controversy she found herself in the middle of back in 2013.

The presenter hit the headlines at the time, after she claimed Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was “very Jane Austen”.

In an interview published by the Radio Times this week, the QI host spilled: “I was asked about Kate Middleton once and it caused some controversy.

“And that upset me hugely, because I wasn’t trying to be unkind to her in any way. I hope she would never, ever think so.”

The Great British Bake Off airs Tuesdays on Channel 4 at 8pm.
