The Leeds-based sisters shot to fame after appearing in the Channel 4 show.

The pair first joined the programme back in 2015, and have gone on to share their opinions on a whole host of TV shows as part of Gogglebox.

And today, Ellie and Izzi took to Twitter to reveal they were “gutted”, after Channel 5 confirmed the latest series of Big Brother UK would be its last.

Writing in view of their 37,000 followers, the duo admitted: “Gutted to hear about Big Brother, we have grown up watching it and seen many fantastic housemates, hosts and tasks!”

The pair went on to show their appreciation for the programme, before telling fans about some of their favourite moments on the programme.

They continued: “Thanks for the great telly it’s given us over the years!

“Who’s everyone’s ultimate fave housemate? Here’s some of ours!”

The sofa-watching stalwarts shared a series of shots from past series - which included TV duo Jedward, real name John and Edward Grimes.

The X Factor stars appeared in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2011, and returned to the house six years later, for the Celebrity Big Brother: All-Stars vs. New Stars edition.

Another upload saw Nicky Grahame, now 36, who was a housemate in the show back in 2006, sitting in the Diary Room.

In another capture, taken during Celebrity Big Brother 2017, Kim Woodburn, now 76, could be seen being held back by security - following an argument with her fellow housemate Nicola McLean.

Fans rushed to comment on the post, with one writing: “Hopefully its picked up by another channel x.”

“Jedward were always my favourites,” shared another.

A third person penned: “@NikkiGrahame & @brianofficial my fave housemates of all time.”

Earlier this evening, the pair updated fans on their plans for the evening - as they revealed the duo were all set to watch themselves on the small screen.

“Feet up, rosé chilling in the fridge, take away menus at the ready #gogglebox ready! Who’s excited,” the sisters wrote.

Elsewhere, former Gogglebox star June Bernicoff opened up about losing her husband Leon Bernicoff.

The late Gogglebox favourite died at the age of 83 in December last year, with the 81-year-old choosing to exit the show following the sad news.

Speaking to The Mirror, June opened up about the things she missed most about her late husband-of-57-years.

"I even miss those incredibly heated discussions we used to have,” she told the publication.

Gogglebox continues next Friday at 9pm; Big Brother UK 2018 continues on Sunday at 10pm.
