Helen Skelton regularly treats her 95,200 Instagram followers to snaps of herself spending time with her family.

The mother-of-two has young sons, Ernie and Louis, with her Rugby league player husband Richie Myler - who she wed back in 2013.

And today, the Countryfile presenter took to the social networking site to open up about how she felt about being apart from the tots and her 28-year-old beau.

It came as the 35-year-old shared a stunning selfie with fans, which was taken during her day at work in London yesterday.

The snap saw Helen flashing her pearly white teeth as she beamed at the camera.

She wore her sleek blonde locks in voluminous curls, which cascaded over her shoulders.

In a lengthy caption, the TV presenter penned: “Whatever Wednesday brought you I hope it was a smile or a laugh.

“Thanks @gaylerinkoff @sarah.herrmann for making a day at work a fun one.”

Helen then turned the topic to address her family work balance, and how the two successful stars managed their time raising the youngsters.

“Always hard to tear myself away from the fam but you gotta do what you gotta do. #smile #selfie #workthatworks #workingmum #thejuggleisreal #dadsrule #wrinkles.”

Fans rushed to shower the former Blue Peter regular with messages of support, with one person writing: “You look amazing Helen. Total TV legend.”

Another admirer penned: “Wow, you’re a natural beauty.”

“What a wonderful woman you are,” gushed a third.

A fourth fan enthused: “You rock Helen! Always have, always will.”

It came shortly after Helen shared her thoughts about whether Countryfile would be affected by Brexit.

When quizzed about whether the programme would change following the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union, the star admitted the decision would have an impact on the farmers who feature in the show - which covers rural, agricultural, and environmental issues in the UK.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with, she spilled: “I’m sure Brexit will have an affect on our farmers.

“I’m kind of well aware with what will change with subsidies which will have a long term affect.”

However, when she considered the future show itself, Helen insisted Brexit wouldn’t make any difference.

She said: “In terms of Countryfile as a programme, it won’t have any affect on it.

“That’s made by the BBC. It’s changed massively in terms of its now made by the studios so it’s a different programme in that sense.”

Countryfile continues on Sunday on BBC One at 5.30pm.

Helen Skelton: Five facts you didn’t know about the Countryfile star

Family Life

Helen Skelton grew up living on a dairy farm in Kirkby Thore, Cumbria, before attending  the Cumbria Institute of the Arts. It was there she gained a BA degree in journalism. She was originally meant to study Japanese at Durham but, in her own words, “bottled it at the  last minute”.

Dancing Skills

Away from the small screen, the presenter is a qualified tap dance teacher. She appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in a Christmas Special back in 2012. She was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev, who exited the programme five years ago.

Previous Life

Before she rose to fame thanks to Blue Peter, she acted as an extra for both Coronation Street and Cutting It. After a brief stint in PR, she also landed jobs at Border Television, BBC Radio Cumbria and Newsround.

Completed It

During her time as a Blue Peter host, which she appeared on weekly between 2008 and 2013, she became the second woman ever to finish the Namibian ultra marathon. The challenge saw her cover 78 miles in 23 hours and 45 minutes. “It was a gruelling experience, but one I'll never forget,” she commented.

Helen went through a dramatic birth with her second son, Louis, in April last year. Firefighters came to the rescue when she went into labour on her kitchen floor in Perpignan, France. Because of the quick nature of what happened, her rugby player husband Richie Myler missed out on it all.
