The presenter, who fronted Countdown for 26 years from 1982 until 2008, flaunted her voluptuous figure as she got to grips with NASA’s Parker Solar Probe.

The 57-year-old’s award-winning Rear Of The Year was impossible to miss as she explored the Kennedy Space Center in view of her Instagram followers.

Carol Vorderman found herself next to a very different countdown clock, not the one made famous by the Channel 4 gameshow now hosted by Nick Hewer and Rachel Riley.

The small screen favourite was seen stood in front of an outdoor timer and an American flag, which led her to quip about the role that made her famous.

Wearing her blonde tresses down, the star highlighted her ample assets in a skintight khaki T-shirt, complete with short sleeves and a modest neckline.

Carol teamed her look with figure-hugging jeans, which had four buttons on the high waist.

She polished off her attire with bright pink trainers, while keeping her mirrored sunglasses firmly on for the shot.

“The Parker Solar Probe COUNTDOWN clock… I’m familiar with a clock of that type! Lol,”(sic) the mother-of-two pointed out.

She was soon inundated with cheeky compliments, with one user replying: “Ooft, curves are better than edges.”(sic)

Two others stated: “Omg Carol you just keep getting better and better,”(sic) and: “Wow Carol your figure is other worldly it’s sensational, and you are a superstar.”

Meanwhile other people referenced her former role: “Give me a vowel please Carol.”

“Within a month, the enormous Orion mobile launcher will be here in High Bay 3 of the Vehicle Assembly Building… where a lot of magic will happen… #Wizardry,” she wrote.

Taking a fun selfie, the stunner was seen inside a huge warehouse while beaming directly at the lens.

“So the VAB and the Orion mobile launcher alongside it…” Carol captioned another as she once again highlighted her incredible figure in front of the building.

She also stated: “The transfer aisle in the Vehicle Assembly Building 525ft high… the place where the symphony of space engineering comes together.

“Look at the size of it… the mobile launcher… getting ready for the first launch of Orion… used for Apollo and Shuttle… just wow #Kennedy.”

She clearly wanted to take fans on the entire journey with her and first posted this morning.

“Sunrise at Cape Canaveral #KennedySpaceCenter #ParkerSolarProbe is the distance… [heart] I'm here with NASA for launch.”

Carol also stated: “Morning Space Cadets… from the NASA bus to Kennedy… off to get up close and personal with the Parker Solar Probe.

“Our Sun at dawn this morning at Cape Canaveral [heart]. If the Sun was a hollow ball… it would take ONE MILLION beautiful Earths to fill it… #OurSuperStar #ParkerSolarProbe #BeCurious.”
