The Chase: ‘Not good’ Bradley Walsh SLAMS contestants | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

The Chase is one of the toughness game shows on television.

Not many people end up beating the chasers, and today's contestants had a really difficult time against today's chaser.

Presenter Bradley Walsh always does his utmost to help the contestants beat the chasers and is always upset when they fail.

However, today he was more disappointed than usual since a team of three contestants made it to the final round, yet they performed terribly against today’s chaser, Shaun Wallace.

The three contestants only managed to end up with eleven in the final round, and Bradley’s face said it all.

“Not good,” he said as he looked at the contestants with a pained expression.

“Eleven. Tough that. Let’s worry about the push backs,” he said.

Bradley was still hoping they could beat Shaun with the push backs, yet it wasn’t to be.

Shaun ended up catching the contestants score with 58 seconds to spare, and the whole ordeal was rather embarrassing for the group.

“Yeah, bad day for you guys at the office,” finished Bradley.

He went on to explain the group suffered when they lost 19-year-old Liverpudlian, Joe, who was caught by the chaser in his head-to-head.

Joe had revealed he’d applied to go on The Chase as a dare.

“I was dared to do it,” he admitted to Bradley with a shy smile.

“It was at work, and we were all sat at our desk, and we said, ‘Why don’t we apply?’ When I got the call, I was off the desk.”

Meanwhile, Bradley was not very impressed when he learned on last Friday’s show that one of the contestants, Christopher Cooke, seemingly withheld a secret that he is a winning quiz champion who has appeared on several other quizzing TV shows.

Christopher made it all the way to the final round and won the jackpot of £15,000 along with 45-year-old career coach Simon from Edinburgh.

However, the presenter’s delight for the players was short-lived as Jenny said: “That was a great performance from the team, but I would expect no less from a quizzer of such pedigree as Christopher.”

“Really? Why, do you know Christopher?” Bradley asked Jenny who replied: “15 to 1?”

Christopher admitted: “I was on 15 to 1. Yeah,” and Jenny replied: “Yeah? Did quite well? Grand final 1995? Top of the finals board,” as the crew and audience could be heard to gasp.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
