EastEnders spoilers: Lauren Branning to return after Max star speaks out? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Category: Entertainment,Gossip

Lauren (played by Jacqueline Jossa) left earlier this year following the death of her sister Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald).

Both of them sustained significant injuries after a Christmas Day fall from the roof of the Queen Vic on EastEnders, but Lauren survived.

She also had a big falling out with her dad Max (Jake Wood) after his troublesome behaviour.

But Max star Jake has said he would “love” to see Lauren return to the BBC soap.

"I would love her to return and always thought she would,” he told Digital Spy.

"Lauren hasn't been killed off, obviously Max is still in the show and she has a lot of other family in it as well. It's like any other character that is still out there – it's always open."

Jake continued: ”I always thought she would return eventually – she just needed some time at home to be a mum, which she's done. So now I think it will just be up to her when she's ready.

"I don't know whether that is now or not, but I would love her to come back.

“I think she's a great actress and a real asset to the show. It would be great."

Meanwhile, Lauren actress Jacqueline has recently spoke about her soap career.

She told OK! Magazine that she won’t be about to head off the any other soaps.

"I don't think I'd be able to do another soap as my loyalty lies with EastEnders, but I'd love to do dramas and theatre," she told the publication.

Back in Albert Square, Max is still after custody of Abi Branning Junior.

However, Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) is about to throw a spanner into the works.

Her solicitor sends over a threatening letter which explains that they know Max’s marriage to Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) is fake because she slept with Jack (Scott Maslen).

Max is furious and Rainie begins to apologise but he’s not happy.

Cora and Rainie end up having a blazing row but the pensioner refuses to work with her daughter to do what’s best for the baby.

Max ends up fleeing with the tot after he senses the high tensions.

However, he is stopped by the police who take Abi away.

So, who will get custody of her in the end?

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
